About

The Auckland Cityguard wargaming club is Aucklands biggest wargaming club and has been going for a fair number of years, humming along just outside the city centre. It is one of the main centres for wargaming in Auckland, and runs multiple Tournament Events throughout the year.

Any and all gaming systems are welcome, so if you're keen for a game then come on down and check us out.

Space, Tables People
= GAMES!

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that all games are being played all the time, but there's likely to be interest in whatever game has your current fancy. If you want to ensure you'll have someone to play on the day, or are looking at starting a new game and wanting some friendly advice, then stop by the forums and we'll see what we can do.

Support:
As an active member of the Wargaming community, The Auckland Cityguard is keen to promote and encourage any gaming system or event; if you're looking at getting into gaming, have an idea for an event, are part of another club looking for support, guidance or tables & terrain (especially for an event) then get in touch and we'll be more than happy to se what we can do to help.

Blog:
This site is the first port of call in your introduction to the Cityguard, and it's where you should hopefully find all major announcements regarding the club and it's related events. We're not running an exclusive thing here though, if any other club wants to get a post on here then we'd be more than happy to put one up.

However, this is intended as more of an advertisement of the club than a interactive site; and if you're at all interested in Wargaming, then we encourage you to join our wargamer forum.

Location:
The club meets every Sunday from 1pm-5pm at Freeman's Bay Community Centre, 52 Hepburn Street, Ponsonby 1011, Auckland. There is parking on-site and on the street, with extra parking nearby.

Occasionally the hall is booked by other groups - these days are very rare and players will be advised well in advance via the forums.

Fees:
First visit is free, from then on $5 for non-members & $3 for members.
Membership fee structures are due for a major overhaul in 2012, so stay tuned for better details.
